A ground floor rethought for a young couple, with a separate master suite.

A young couple asked the studio to rethink the ground floor of their villa, poorly suited to their way of life. Fragmented circulation and a weak relationship with the garden held back an otherwise promising space. The wish: reconnect the living spaces to the garden, and create a master suite separate from the children's area upstairs.

The day zone, facing the garden, brings together living room, dining room and kitchen in a bright, dual-aspect whole. The openings are redrawn to frame views and catch the light throughout the day. The kitchen opens wide onto the living room: when the couple entertains, they cook without leaving their guests.

The master suite combines a double shower room and a separate dressing room. Each room works independently, for privacy and to avoid damp or odours, yet they remain linked by a door concealed in the run of wardrobes.
